A Super Hero I’m Not

Years ago (pre-cordless and cell phones days), a car broke down in front of my house. The driver knocked on the door, seeking assistance. I was clueless as to how to change a flat tire and didn’t like opening the door to a stranger to use my phone. So I did the only thing in my power to do—I assured him, through the closed storm door, that I’d call the mechanic at the other end of town. In minutes, help arrived and all was well in the neighborhood.

  1. Thank you for allowing God to speak through you! Just caught up on the last one too & combined, it was like God was speaking directly to my heart. I’ve spent so long trying to be independent, I’ve forgotten that I need to admit how powerless I am and turn to the One who is in control of it all!
